Cool! Lame!  WTF?

Inline skates on steroids.  They probably work great, but how usable are they?

Copenhagen Wheel Finally Arrives

MIT announced awhile back it was working on a wheel where all the electric bike bits were stored in the rear wheel itself.  It was a real A-ha! moment because it allows people to electrify their existing bike they already have/love instead of buying a whole damned bike, which was usually lame looking anyway.

Well, here you go -

The problem as I see it right now is that it's WAY overengineered for lots of smartphone crap.  And it requires tight chain tension, which means hand tools to remove it. And how can I put a different rim on it so I can ride it off-road and tear the shit outta some trails?

Wednesday - Gary Fisher Superfly

v
This bike was recently reviewed on Wired.com.  Full carbon hardtail 29er with a $4200 price tag.  I think I bought a motorcycle for half that price.
The review is kind of funny.  I think these guys are a little out of their league trying to analyze how such a bitchin' machine works. Gary Fisher should send that bike our way for some real testing!
